Gingermede Mead
Gingermede Mead
A mild/sweet mead with the added warmth of ginger, known as a Metheglin.
"Mead" and "metheglin" are basically the same words, coming from the Welsh word "meodyglyn". The only difference is that metheglin is a mead with herbs or spices added for a more medicinal drink.
12.5% Alc/Vol
Delicious chilled or slightly warmed. Enjoy in a small sherry or shot glass.
On colder nights, I pour the mead into a glass and place in the microwave on low... just heating it enough. It tastes delicious.
If you keep mead in the fridge, its quality can remain even after you open it for about 12 months.
