The term 'Dry Sack' originated in the pioneering days of the American West - around the same time as our ancestors were working the Otago gold fields.

When times were tough, men would find solitude in a small cabin in the woods and just keep to themselves, and enjoy the precious odd tipple.

Our very bold Dry Sack mead has been made from a selection of New Zealand native bush honey, including manuka honey, for an oaky full flavoured, dry traditional sack mead.
