Maybe the most mysterious of Earth's beasts...
Eels are weird. Really weird. Like so weird, we still don't know exactly where they spawn. So weird that after hatching, they turn into clear, leaf-shaped leptocephali and float around the ocean for a few YEARS. Then, somehow, longfin eels know how to get back to the freshwater that their parents came from in Aotearoa. Oh, and they can live for 100+ years. No biggie.
Pepper drew the lifestages of the longfin eel, also known as Tuna Kuwharuwharu, from egg to leptocephalus, to glass eel, through to adulthood, represented in a harmonious cycle.
Available in Unisex Pine Green.
